PACKING FOR THE TRIP - LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The course is laid out into 3 Modules, each with a specific goal of bridging AI and Medical Education. As you prepare for your journey, here are the learning objectives:
- Master AI Tools: Gain proficiency in using Large Language Model-empowered AI tools to craft educational content, demonstrated by submitting a sample AI use case or educational material.
- Develop Prompting Skills: Acquire and practice at least three effective prompt-generating techniques, showcased by a portfolio of prompts and their corresponding outputs.
- Address AI Biases: Identify prevalent biases (training data bias, selection bias, confirmation bias, and interpretation bias) in large language models and devise strategies to mitigate them, culminating in a group discussion.
- Evaluate AI Applications: Assess the impact and effectiveness of applied prompt-generating and bias mitigation techniques within your teaching expertise through comprehensive case study analysis.
- Harness Generative AI: Utilize Generative AI to create personalized and complex training materials, as evidenced by developing a unique patient simulation scenario.
- Apply Backwards Design Principles: Demonstrate the ability to plan a Generative AI-integrated curriculum by outlining a course module from learning outcomes to instructional activities.
- Transform Learning Taxonomies: Redefine learning taxonomies with Generative AI applications, supported by creating a revised taxonomy that incorporates AI-generated content.
