  • Grady Hospital

    - a two-county, public facility, provides quality, comprehensive healthcare in a compassionate, culturally competent, ethical, and fiscally responsible manner. Grady maintains its commitment to the underserved of Fulton and DeKalb counties, while also providing care for residents of Atlanta and Georgia and serving as the only level I trauma center within 100 miles of metro Atlanta. Grady leads through its clinical excellence, innovative research, and progressive medical education and training. Twenty-five percent of all doctors practicing medicine in Georgia received some or all of their training at Grady.

    Opened in 1892, Grady continually improved the health of the community. Grady now provides primary care services at eight Neighborhood Health Centers. Other service centers include a Diabetes Center, Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence, and the Avon Foundation Breast Health Center. Grady is also a Regional Perinatal Center and houses Georgia's Poison Center, and 24-hour Rape Crisis and Advice Nurse lines. The Infectious Disease Program was named one of the top three HIV/AIDS outpatient clinics in the country. Residents learn obstetrical care, gynecology surgery, and gynecology oncology at this clinical site.

  • Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital - Rural

    Phoebe Putney

    is a 691-bed teaching hospital and a regional center for cancer treatment, cardiac medicine/surgery, gastrointestinal disease and neuro-science. The Phoebe Cancer Center is one of the busiest and most advanced in the Southeast. The Phoebe Heart and Vascular Center performs more open-heart and cardiac catheterization procedures than all other hospitals in the region combined. Phoebe is one of only six designated perinatal centers in the state of Georgia and is the regions only provider of neonatal intensive care, cardiovascular surgery and radiation oncology services.

  • Veterans Affairs Medical Center - Atlanta

    , a public hospital, trains 116 residents in a general medical and surgical affiliate of the Emory School of Medicine. The VA research program, one of the top 20 in the country, includes 110 principal investigators, 310 research projects, and more than $18 million in funding. The center is affiliated with 60 other institutions involving 24 training programs. Our residents perform benign gynecology procedures and gynecology surgery at the VA.
